ITI is a cross-campus, cross-disciplinary initiative that brings together over 100 faculty and senior researchers, many graduate student researchers, and industry partners to conduct foundational and applied research to enable the creation of critical applications and cyber infrastructures. ITI targets not only the underlying technologies involved in providing trustworthy networked information systems, but also critical application areas, such as electric power, financial systems, defense, and homeland security, among others.
Because of its multidisciplinary nature, ITI draws researchers from across the university, including representatives of over 20 academic departments in 6 colleges and 3 institutes on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus.
